Thousands of people are electrocuted annually as a result of contact with power lines or other power sources. The number of deaths and crippling injuries from such accidents has been increasing. Electrocution is now the fifth leading cause of work-related deaths in the United States, with over 50% of the total occurring in the construction industry.
The Group focuses on contact between persons, equipment, ladders, cranes and overhead power lines, but has information on other types of electrical accidents. The defendants who may be liable for these accidents are equipment manufacturers, construction entities, and utility companies.
The Group has a valuable index, including articles on electrical safety and practices, electrical injuries, depositions of commonly utilized defense experts, and resumes of experts.
